"In 2024, study financing advice accounted for 65 per cent of our consultations, by far the largest share. In many cases, so-called student jobs contribute to financing studies. With the new platform, we want to make it easier for students to access suitable jobs and at the same time offer them an easy way to contact employers," says Michael Dutz, Head of Student Life Counselling at the Student Services Organisation of Lower Bavaria/Upper Palatinate.
Advantages for students and employers
The new job exchange offers advantages for both sides: students can flexibly search for jobs that are compatible with their studies. Part-time jobs not only help to finance rent and living expenses. They also provide initial insights into the world of work, expand personal skills and strengthen independence and self-confidence.
Employers, from small craft businesses to private individuals, can quickly and free of charge advertise short-term jobs – such as gardening, moving assistance or driving services. Traditional job advertisements for internships, working student positions or part-time jobs can also be published easily.
How it works
For employers: Simply click on ‘Post a job offer’ at www.stwno.de/jobbörse, register, enter job details such as the period, working hours, hourly wage and contact details – and you're done. The STWNO Student Life Advisory Service will review the offer and approve it.
